Dr. Canty completed his residency training in anesthesiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard Medical School) and his fellowship at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Harvard Medical School).

Dr. Canty trained and taught at 2 Harvard teaching hospitals in anesthesiology at Massachusetts General Hospital and then interventional pain medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He founded The Comprehensive Spine and Pain Center of New York and then Manhattan Restorative Health Sciences over ten years ago with the intent of advancing patient care using innovative interventional and regenerative pain treatment techniques.
Dr. Canty is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in Anesthesiology in Pain Medicine.
