Dr. Dolgopolov continued his surgical education as a resident and chief resident at SUNY Downstate Health Science Center in Brooklyn, New York and completed it with Honors. After residency he worked as a surgical attending and clinical assistant professor in general, minimally invasive and trauma surgery at SUNY Downstate Health Science Center in Brooklyn. In 2000 Dr. Dolgopolov joined Surgical Associates of New York, LLP, which regrouped to General and Laparoscopic Surgeons of New York, LLP in 2012.
Presently, he is a founding partner at Lenox Hills Surgeons, LLP. Dr. Dolgopolov’s interests and specialty are in minimally invasive, laparoscopic, robotic, general and oncology surgery. For patients with degenerative disc disease, scoliosis, spine fractures, tumors and osteomyelitis he has 25 years unique expertise in thoracic, thoraco- lumbar and lumbar spine exposure for orthopedic and neurosurgery spine surgeons including minimally invasive techniques. He practices as an assistant professor of surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, and Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
