Dr. Richard McCormack, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and Director of the Department of Orthopedics at St. Joseph’s Hospital, as well as Associate Chairman of Orthopedics and Associate Director of Sports Medicine at Nassau University Medical Center. A magna cum laude graduate of Harvard University, he earned his MD and MBA with High Honors from the University of Chicago, completed his orthopedic surgery residency at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, and pursued fellowship training in sports medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital, where he served as Assistant Team Physician for the New York Jets and New York Islanders. Dr. McCormack specializes in arthroscopic and open treatment of shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee injuries, with a strong focus on ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, and shoulder stabilization.
