Mina Aziz Ibrahim, MD

Dr. Mina Ibrahim is a board-certified General Surgeon with advanced fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Bariatric and Foregut Surgery. He specializes in a wide range of general, foregut, and bariatric procedures—both primary and revisional—using laparoscopic and robotic techniques to enhance recovery and optimize outcomes.

Dr. Ibrahim earned his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. He began his surgical training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center before completing his senior residency years at RWJ Barnabas/Rutgers – Monmouth Medical Center and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. During residency, he performed numerous complex operations and received multiple honors, including the Outstanding Minimally Invasive Resident Award and the prestigious Sills Award for Excellence in Surgical Education.

He went on to complete a dedicated fellowship in Minimally Invasive Bariatric and Foregut Surgery at University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve Medical Center, where he also served as a Clinical Instructor. His fellowship training included advanced bariatric and foregut procedures such as paraesophageal hernia repair, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, duodenal switch, and complex revisional operations. He also gained expertise in advanced endoscopic interventions, including endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG), stent and balloon placement, and endoluminal vacuum therapy.

Dr. Ibrahim's practice encompasses minimally invasive general and acute care surgery, advanced endoscopy, foregut and antireflux procedures, and both primary and revisional bariatric surgery. He is an active member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), and the American College of Surgeons (ACS). Dedicated to innovation, education, and patient-centered care, Dr. Ibrahim strives to deliver the highest standards of surgical excellence.
