Jason D Kofinas, MD

Dr. Kofinas has become a leader in reproductive surgery, infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss and his expertise is sought after from around the world. He continues to clinically practice full time while he is fully involved in research that will change the diagnostics and treatment capabilities of physicians within the Infertility field. His research interests include selection of the most competent embryo for embryo transfer, genetics, reproductive immunology and endometriosis.Dr. Kofinas and Kofinas Fertility Group enjoy significantly higher success rates than the national average even as they are routinely serving a patient population that has been failing fertility therapy in other centers. During his time in training Dr. Jason Kofinas completed research studies focused on patient education and outcomes as well as basic science/bench work that looked at egg quality at the cellular level. Dr. Kofinas is also an accomplished minimally invasive GYN surgeon and his capabilities include laparoscopic myomectomy that would normally be done using an open technique. Laparoscopic endometriosis including stage 4 endometriosis, bladder and bowel endometriosis, tubal surgery and hysteroscopy. His ability to perform these procedures in house allows him to treat the infertile patient in totality which leads to significantly better outcomes.

A father of two girls, one conceived with the assistance of IVF has contributed to his bedside manner and incredible empathy and care that he provides to his patients. His relationship with his patients is one of the reasons he believes he has achieved significant and high success rates in his practice. As laboratory director for the Kofinas Fertiity Group, Dr. Jason Kofinas designed and improved the air filtration system in the laboratory that routinely has proven to have superior air quality leading to the outstanding outcomes and embryo quality. He has also introduced artificial intelligence into the laboratory which contributes to embryo selection and his devotion to achieving the highest level of care and his ability to implement the most cutting edge technology is something that he is extremely proud of.
