Dr. Shapiro earned her Bachelor of Arts in biology from New York University, where she graduated cum laude. She graduated with her Doctor of Osteopathy from the New York University of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. Afterward, she completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where she eventually served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Shapiro has hospital privileges at Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital in Oceanside, New York. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
