Dr. Ritz received his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem, New York, completed his residency in General Surgery at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York, and fulfilled a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York.
Dr. Ritz’s approach to patient care includes treating patients like his family, which involves always being available on his cell phone. In addition to seeing patients at Long Island Surgical, Dr. Ritz has admitting privileges at Mercy Medical Center, Mount Sinai South Nassau, and St. Joseph’s Hospital.
