David L. Benisch, MD, FACS

Dr. Benisch received his undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan where he acquired a unique skill set he believed would be useful in the field of medicine. He went on to receive his Medical Degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and then completed his residency in general surgery at Brown University and Stony Brook University. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. For over 30 years Doctor Benisch has treated a wide variety of conditions using the latest innovations in medical care with a high level of skill that is particularly evident in his specialization in laparoscopic hernia repairs and gallbladder surgery. Doctor Benisch has deep expertise in the broader areas of abdominal surgery, breast surgery and head and neck surgery.
